BIZJET DELIVERS BBJ WITH NEWLY INSTALLED SPLIT SCIMITAR WINGLET
MODIFICATION BizJet International announces it has delivered a BBJ after installing the Aviation Partners’ Split Scimitar Winglet modifi cation. BizJet completed this modifi cation in just three and a half weeks. “Our team delivered this product a
week ahead of schedule,” says BizJet’s vice president of Operations, Roy Lischinsky. “BizJet was selected to perform this work package because of the customer’s confi dence in our ability to accomplish the work faster than quoted. We were able to exceed the customer’s expectation, delivering a great product to a very happy customer. This makes the project a complete success.”
The split scimitar winglet completely redefi nes the aerodynamics of the existing blended winglet. The retrofi t provides a drag reduction, and corresponding range increase, of 2% or more for long range BBJ operators. This was the sixth modifi cation to be installed on a BBJ, and the fi rst by BizJet.
DUNCAN AVIATION SELECTS TROY NAIL FOR CHALLENGER/ GLOBAL AIRFRAME SERVICE

SALES Duncan Aviation announces it has selected Troy Nail as the company’s newest Airframe Service sales representative for Challenger and Global aircraft models. In this position, Nail is responsible for assisting customers with the preliminary tasks associated with large airframe inspections, including the writing of detailed technical quotations and answering their service and capability questions. Nail brings a vast amount of Challenger and Global experience with him, as well as many strong relationships with Duncan Aviation customers. He began his career at Duncan Aviation in November 2001 as an airframe mechanic, working his way in the Challenger program to a lead mechanic in 2007 and a team leader for a Challenger/Global team in 2012. “Troy has performed admirably in his team leader role over the past four years and has a great mix of technical understanding and ability combined with excellent people skills,” says Mike Minchow, vice president of Service Sales with Duncan Aviation. “He understands the concerns customers have when putting their aircraft down for major maintenance and anticipates their questions.
