Brand USA to refresh training as ‘America Wild’ parks film airs
Brand USA is to update its online training programme following the release of a big-screen film celebrating America’s national parks. The centennial of the National
Park Service is a focus for US specialists this year, with Brand USA’s MegaFam also including a number of itineraries which include park visits. Speaking before the UK
premiere of America Wild: National Parks Adventure at London’s Imax cinema, Brand USA chief executive Chris Thompson said a trade marketing plan was still being developed around the film. However, he confirmed that new elements would be added to
the online USA Discovery Program, and said the creation of tangible marketing assets such as point- of-sale material was also being considered alongside work to develop more operator packages to showcase the parks. He said: “We hope this new film
will revive and spark interest in consumers, and we then need our travel trade partners to fulfil
that business.”
