PRIZES AND OUTCOMES
All ages Using a Raspberry Pi computer, students must produce innovations that improve the lives of disadvantaged or disabled people. The winning team within each of the three categories (year groups 4-6, 7-11 and 12-13) will receive £1,000.

Pupils select their favourite historical era, and explain their choice through writing, drawing, or movie-making. The winner will be asked to create and star in a series of 60-second films about their ‘Epic Era’ of choice. Runner-up prizes available.

International Images for Science

All ages Entrants must submit a photograph that tells a science-themed story, looking at nature, medicine, forensics, zoology, engineering or astronomy. The winner of the under 18s category will receive £500 to buy photography equipment, plus other prizes.

The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award
CAMPAIGN Happy Shoesday

11-17 years The top 15 poets will be invited to attend a week’s writing course in Shropshire, and will have their poems printed in an anthology, which will be distributed free to schools across the UK. The top 100 winners also receive book bundles.

4-11 years Organised as part of Walk to School Week (15-19 May), Happy Shoesday encourages pupils to wear the shoes that make them happiest, in exchange for a £1 donation to Living Streets. Assembly ideas and teaching resources are available online.
CAMPAIGN My Money Week

This national activity week gives pupils the chance to gain skills, knowledge and confidence in money matters. Schools can access free resources, lesson plans, activity packs, competitions and challenges, and one-to-one consultancy support.
