An Introduction to Esoteric Psychology
Incorporating: The Seven Rays, Esoteric Astrology and Esoteric Healing
Esoteric Psychology is the science of the soul; the study of the spiritual constitution of the human being and the stages and crises that accompany the personality as it seeks integration with the soul.
All disease is caused by blocks to soul energy in the physical, emotional and mental bodies, and the major task of the esoteric psychologist is to relate the soul and the personality of their clients. Secondly, their task is to act as transmitters of illumination for personal growth and healing.
The Seven Rays and Esoteric Astrology describe the various energies, which condition human temperament. We will study how to use this knowledge to clarify the challenges and life experiences, which face the human soul, and how to grow through them.
Knowledge and understanding of the Seven Rays provides a key to the psychological understanding of the Universe and ourselves and teaches us impersonality, to be less judgmental and encourages compassion and tolerance for others and ourselves. The study of the Seven Rays also gives us a tool for expanding our consciousness and of those around us.
Esoteric Astrology gives a larger perspective of life; that we do not just inhabit a little planet on its own in the solar system, but are participating as an energy centre within a greater solar life. Through the soul chart, which gives an indication of the soul’s intention in any one life and how it intends to achieve it through it’s personality vehicle, one can see the crises the soul precipitates to bring about
a change in consciousness, and thereby assist a person to overcome these crises and grow in awareness and consciousness.
This new interpretation of astrology and the Seven Rays is considered to be the foundation of the new Psychology. It gives a wider and more comprehensive picture of the human being, the crises on the path of soul/personality integration, and the keys to healing.
Esoteric Healing
The fundamental cause of disease is any block to soul expression. Esoteric Healing helps a person to contact their higher purpose. In this introduction, the healing process will be examined through a study of the inner constitution of the human being and the subtle energy fields that vitalizes the physical body and reflect a person’s more subtle energies through emotion and thought. Healers learn to sensitise their hands to attune to and scan this field. Any imbalance or disharmony may be restored by ‘holding’ areas in need, allowing the client’s subtle energies and soul life to flow through and restore balance.
