The roots of the Chicago Flower & Garden Show can be traced as far back as 1847! The show, held each March at Chicago’s Navy Pier, is an experience for the senses, invoking memories of spring after a typically long and cold Chicago winter. It may feel like winter outside, but inside the garden show, it’s spring! There are many professionally designed gardens to walk through, beautiful floral arrangements, and over 100 vendors showcasing their wares in the vendor mall. Dining options are available within the Festival Hall area as well as at numerous restaurants within Navy Pier. Fee includes transportation & show admission.

ABBA’s hits tell the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father on a Greek island paradise. After reading her mom’s diary from one carefree summer 20 years ago, Sophie secretly invites the three men her mom wrote about to her wedding. Set to the classic songs of ABBA like “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” and “SOS,” Mamma Mia is an enchanting and unforgettable tale of love, laughter, family and friendship. Prior to the performance, we’ll have lunch at Cooper’s Hawk with a menu selection designed to pair perfectly with their own wine made in their private winery. We’ll have fresh salad, your choice of parmesan-crusted chicken or spaghetti with meatballs (selection made at restaurant), and salted caramel crème brulee for dessert – and perhaps you may want a glass of wine to go with it! Fee includes transportation, lunch and performance.

Dairy & Spice & Everything Nice! Aurora & Geneva, IL
See what goes on behind the scenes at Oberweis Dairy, home of world-famous milk and ice cream. Oberweis has been perfecting their hormone-free milk since 1927. We’ll take a video tour and see the plant through the viewing room, and finish off with a cup of their delicious vanilla ice cream. Yes, we’re having dessert in the morning! Our next stop is The Spice House – you’ll smell the wonderful fresh spices as you walk in the door, and we’ll be treated to a presentation about their famous products and history. You don’t even have to cook – learn which spices amp up the flavor of prepared foods. Our final stop is at The Little Traveler, where we’ll have lunch in their adorable café. You’ll have your choice of their special cranberry chicken salad, mini sandwich plate, or fresh quiché (selections made at the restaurant). Time is allowed to shop this exciting venue. Fee includes transportation, dairy tour, spice presentation, and lunch.
