The benefits of yoga include improved strength, flexibility, and balance. A chair will be used for the first half of the class to perform various yoga poses. The second half of the class will include poses on the floor. Participants using the floor should bring a yoga mat. You do not need to participate in the floor exercise to join this class. Relaxation is a state of mind but also much more. Relaxation happens when the muscles relax, the breathing slows and deepens and the mind quiets. The level of relaxation can be found on a continuum at any given time from agitation to deep calm. Come to restorative yoga to deepen your level of relaxation via breathing techniques and poses to help the body and mind open and release.

Video Legacy Story Sampler Lisle Recreation Center, Multipurpose Room 3


A picture may be worth a thousand words but a minute of video is worth a million words! Telling your stories on film can be a great way to pass on your family culture, values and traditions. This program gives you a taste of what it means to create a video legacy. Bring 3 photos from your life, one from your childhood, one from your younger adulthood and one that is current. Wanda will capture you telling a story about each of these photos on video, edit it and bring back a DVD for you to keep or share with your family.
