Shop & Play: Rivers Casino & Fashion Outlets of Chicago Des Plaines & Rosemont, IL
You’ll have 4 hours to choose if you want to spend all your time at one of the venues or spend a couple hours at each! The Fashion Outlets of Chicago is the premiere outlet mall in Illinois. With over 150 outlet stores, a very nice food court, and public art scattered throughout, this indoor mall is a fun place to visit whether you are shopping or just looking. Rivers Casino is just down the road, and with over 1,000 slots and almost 50 table games, you’re sure to have a good time. Rivers has several dining outlets, including the Canopy Buffet. Our bus will drop off at the outlet mall and at the casino – spend 2 hours at each place or 4 hours at just one. Fee includes bus transportation.

A Wonder In My Soul Victory Gardens Theater, Chicago, IL
Don’t miss the world premiere of A Wonder In My Soul, a play that explores the Great Migration from the Deep South to Chicago in the early 1900s. On a frigid winter’s night, a 90 year old woman is admitted to an ICU in Bronzeville. Over the final hours of Queen’s life, she teaches those around her lasting lessons of history, from the Jim Crow south to Chicago’s nightclub scene. Told through music, poetry, and dance, A Wonder In My Soul is a beautiful story of one Queen’s journey home. After the morning performance, we will have lunch at Marcello’s Father & Son restaurant, where we’ll have a scrumptuous family-style meal with their homemade rolls and focaccia chips with garlic herb butter, fresh mixed salad, garlic oregano broasted chicken, cavatappi pasta with meat sauce, grilled seasonal vegetables, beverage, and specialty brownies for dessert. Fee includes transportation, performance and lunch.

PARKING FOR DAY TRIPS
is conveniently located just across the sidewalk in the Community Center parking lot or in the middle of the Senior Center parking lot. This gives you easy exit upon our return and frees up the front spots at the Senior Center for patrons visiting the center throughout the day. Also, refrain from parking in lots not owned by the Lisle Park District.
