W More recently, I again attended the MIAC show in Lucca which
continues to both grow and provide an essential link between suppliers and producers of everything that’s related to tissue manufacturing. It was also a pleasure to be part of a very strong attendance at the conference sessions, which included an update and a visually-engaging presentation by Enrico Grassi, president of Elettric 80.
Within the presentation of Elettric 80 we again noted the importance of correct handling of the finished product. Mill owners, whether they be manufacturing high-quality tissue or paper products, can all too easily be let down by the handling or logistics in getting the product to the client. Handling the finished product is becoming increasingly important, and mills can do without having to re-supply a product through no fault of their own.
Looking to 2017, the January-February issue will be covering: A modern approach to mill servicing; pumps, drives, valves & automation; and mill power and heat technology. Contributions will be required on or before 16 January. And finally, may I wish all our readers a Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year.
