MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF GOVERNORS

Dear Parents/Carers,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to St Mary’s Priory Catholic Schools. St. Mary’s serves three neighbouring parishes from which we take our children.

An Ofsted Inspection in September 2014 found that ‘Children in the Outstanding Nursery and Reception classes are given a very secure preparation for their learning at Key Stage One. They also stated that ‘The school provides very strong support for all aspects of the pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Our Infant and Junior Schools are ‘ Good Schools’ recognised by Ofsted in September 2014 as being ‘warm, welcoming and caring schools’ of which the pupils are proud and enjoy attending and where all groups make at least good progress academically.

A Westminster Diocesan Inspection in January 2016 judged the Catholic Life of St Mary’s Priory Schools to be ‘Outstanding’. ‘St Mary’s Priory’s commitment to the Common Good and social justice is outstanding.’ ‘St Mary’s community is a community for life.’ The Chief Inspector says “it is a delight….to see the ways in which you enrich the educational experience for the pupils in such a rigorous, challenging and exciting way”.

The aim of the governors and staff is to provide a safe and secure environment in which every child can not only thrive but flourish – academically, emotionally, socially, physically and creatively. We believe this can be achieved through a close and trusting relationship between home and school both working together to provide the vision, aims and ethos of our schools.

I hope this prospectus provides a helpful glimpse of our schools but if you need further information we are always happy to answer your questions.

Yours sincerely,

M Hibbert Marva Hibbert
