• All children are expected to wear suitable shoes.


• Trainers are not allowed in school.


• All clothing should be marked clearly with the child’s name. (Suppliers for these items can be found at the back of this prospectus) We have ties, book and PE bags for


sale in the school office.

Teachers and children cover all aspects of the National Curriculum during the school day. Parents are asked to support their children’s learning by ensuring that the children read regularly to an adult. Parents should sign their child’s Reading Record Book whenever their child reads at home. The frequency of this will be determined by the class teacher. Children will be given RE homework connected with the topic they are studying. Spelling, tables, English and Maths work are regularly set as homework and we ask parents to support this. On some occasions children may have a piece of work to finish. Parents are also asked to encourage their child to complete the task. Parents will be required to replace any reading books or other school materials which are lost or damaged through negligence after use at home. We have a Home/ School Agreement Contract which details our roles. The contract is signed when your child starts school.
