Graham Bennett, an experienced and well- known commercial property lawyer on the South Coast, has joined Blake Morgan as a legal director in the real- estate team at Chandlers Ford. He was formerly a partner at Shoosmiths for more than 20 years.
Bennett is a specialist in the legal aspects of the purchase, sale and development of commercial property for a range of clients including private property investors, developers, local authorities and retailers.
The family law team at Paris Smith LLP, made up of 10 specialist family lawyers based in Southampton and Winchester, has been shortlisted for two awards in the forthcoming 2016 Jordan Publishing Family Law Awards.
Rachel Osgood (right) and Sarah Passemard (left), who have partnered one another at Paris Smith for nine years, have been jointly nominated for Family Law Partner of the Year. Their nomination recognises the success of their modern and collegiate approach which has demonstrated the positive benefits of flexible working for clients and provided a role model for junior lawyers.
B2B sales generation agency Xcel Sales has promoted Natalie Radbourne to telemarketing manager. She will work with Debbie Colyer and the expanding sales team at the firm’s new offices in Chineham Park, Basingstoke. Radbourne has 20 years’ sales experience, and has returned to work after taking a break in her career to bring up her twin boys.
In addition, Fiona Atkinson, who has 17 years’ sales experience in various roles, has joined the firm as senior telemarking consultant.
Gemma Laurent, an experienced professional who started out as an office receptionist, has become senior manager at the Southampton office of specialist business-recovery group Quantuma. She joins from Bournemouth-based Mark Liddle Partnership after a career stretching over 19 years in the sector.
She qualified with the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency and has worked on the South Coast all of her career, including 11 years with mid-tier firms Tenon and Haines Watts.
Leading law firm Lester Aldridge, which has offices in Bournemouth, Southampton and London, has taken on seven new trainee solicitors.

Training contracts at Lester Aldridge usually consist of four six- month seats in a variety of teams across the firm’s three offices.
Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has expanded its team in Southampton with the appointment of 14 new trainees. They include graduates and school leavers, and they will be supported to complete their professional ACA, AAT, ATT, ICAS, ACCA, CIA or CTA qualifications.
The appointments in Southampton are part of a record intake of 350 trainees across RSM’s UK office network, expanding the firm’s total headcount by around 10%. The firm ranked highly in this year’s league of Top 100 Employers for School and College Leavers.
