The UK’s largest independent software developer and publisher of virtual reality games and experiences, nDreams is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Based in Farnborough, the company has come a long way – growing its talented and experienced team, securing significant investment, and honing its dedicated and unique VR skills.

Presenting the awards, Joe Jeffers finance director of Taylor Made Computer Solutions, revealed: “The judges particularly liked the business reinvention that nDreams has gone through over the past few years, turning the business from a leading gaming company into a company specialising in VR technology. As a result, it is now at the forefront of its marketplace, a leading light in this fast developing sector.
“The business culture and adoption of the move towards VR was pervasive, and we are sure the company’s success will continue to be very strong both financially and reputationally. In summary, it takes a lot of guts to reinvent a business like this.”

Neil Bancroft-Jones, nDreams financial controller said ‘reinvention’ began “about three years ago when we realised VR was a massive new market available to us.”
“This award is a fantastic recognition of where we’ve come from, having started as a one-man band 10 years ago; of a small business doing well in the region.”
nDreams doubled in size this year and now has 50 staff. “We are at the cutting edge of VR technology, releasing some really exciting content, and getting great support from investors Mercia Technologies, backing us to get on with what we do best.”

And third-placed: Performance in People – works with leading brands to improve customer experience and sales performance. Founded 16 years ago, based in Ryde, Isle of Wight.

entrustIT – A cloud IT solutions and hosted desktop business. Started in 2006, based in Ringwood.
Serious Sports Group – The UK's leading personalised sports clothing and teamwear company. Based near Basingstoke, formed in 2005.
