airport services and facilities in a fiscally prudent manner.” Te most important part of that mission — “with our com- munity” — is echoed by everything that happens on the airport campus. From providing therapy dogs that ease the stress of travellers and visitors in this re- gion to providing new routes to exciting destinations, it’s all about you! Tis also drives us to be an active part of our community. It’s a commitment that our entire team lives day in and day out. Here’s a look at a few of the major events we’re involved in this fall! Winnipeg Harvest: Harvest Garden WAA is a longtime supporter of Win- nipeg Harvest, a local organization that provides food to those who struggle to feed themselves and their families. Tis summer will mark our 21st year partici- pating in Winnipeg Harvest’s Grow-A- Row, an initiative that has participants use their green thumb for the greater good. We have a beautiful garden on our campus that will produce vegetables to be donated to Winnipeg Harvest this fall!

Habitat for Humanity Manitoba: Adopt-A-Day

It’s no secret that a collaborative effort is the best foundation that any home and community could have. Te Adopt- A-Day Program has WAA employees work on a Habitat for Humanity project under the guidance of building experts for a day to support constructing a home for a low-income family in Winnipeg. Te WAA sponsorship also has 100% of its funds used for building materials and trades labour at Habitat for Humanity. Tese volunteers will also get to be a part of the big day: they will be invited to the family’s Key Ceremony on moving day, putting a bow on the gift of giving back. United Way Plane Pull 2016

WAA has been involved in this event since the beginning and couldn’t be more pleased with how far it’s come. Tis United Way initiative is exactly as it sounds — teams band together, fund-
