rior factors influencing the if and how of the deal. Te NHL and Winnipeg Jets announced in 2013 that there would be an outdoor game. Te plan was for the game to occur in the team’s fifth season since returning to the NHL, but there was a problem. Te 2015 Grey Cup was being hosted by Winnipeg. Te window the NHL desired had already been taken by the Canadian Football League. Te people of Win- nipeg would have to wait a little longer to see the NHL on outdoor ice.
