Ennis-Flint is the world leader in manufacturing and supplying of road marking materials. The commitment to safety expands to all roads users around the globe. Ennis-Flint has a renowned research team dedicated to developing the right products for the right needs - and TrafficScapes™ is no exception. TrafficScapes™ by Ennis-Flint is a comprehensive decorative preformed thermoplastic portfolio full of innovative traffic calming solutions. The TrafficScapes™ surface systems combines the durable, long-lasting qualities required for traditional road marking projects, but with unmatched aesthetic appeal.

Five uniquely designed preformed thermoplastic materials make up the TrafficScapes™ portfolio, each manufactured to meet a specific need for a traffic calming project. All TrafficScapes™ material offers a high level of durability, enhanced visibility, aesthetic appeal, and improved traffic safety for all road users. This includes guiding pedestrians across busy commercial parking areas, providing visibility for motorists and cyclists with distinctive and eye-catching road marking, and creating clear boundaries for roundabouts, entryways, and high-streets. Depending on the specific requirements needed, the following decorative solutions are available:

DURATHERM® A specially designed preformed thermoplastic material that is inlaid into an imprinted asphalt surface and thermally bonded using specialised infrared heaters. Engineered to lie slightly below the asphalt surface, Duratherm® is protected from wear, ensuring effective service life while maintaining its attractive contemporary look for years.

TRAFFICPATTERNS® A cost-effective alternative to the use of brick and stone pavers as the material is surface applied and virtually maintenance free. The sheets of interconnected material are easily lifted and positioned onto asphalt or concrete surfaces for application with a propane heat torch or large heater.

TRAFFICPATTERNS LT® A stamped concrete system that is a more durable and skid-resistant surface than typical epoxy coatings or paint. It has been expertly designed to be applied to new surfaces as well as match up to the grooves of previously stamped patterns. Application is simple, with a propane heat torch or infrared heater on asphalt surfaces. With the ability to refurbish existing markings, this durable alternative eliminates the need to repaint again and again.

TRAFFICPATTERNS XD®

An extremely durable preformed thermoplastic material that incorporates a unique aggregate-reinforced formula with unprecedented wear resistance. This imprinted material is easily positioned, heated and then stamped into the asphalt using specialised heater technology.

TRAFFICPATTERNS GF® A heavy-duty intersection grade road marking that can replace traditional paint or epoxy-coated surfaces. No stamping templates or grids required; the material is interconnected and surface applied with the use of a propane heat torch or infrared heater.

In the UK, with the help of our certified contractor Bellstan Ltd, several TrafficScapes™ projects have been applied to major town centres in order to enhance safety and beautify the city. In May, Duratherm®

was applied

at the intersection between Woolfall Heath Avenue and Parbrook Road in Knowsley, Liverpool. This addition to Knowsley enhances visual cues for drivers, motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists to ensure that they are aware of the road ahead.

Another Duratherm®

project, now approaching two years, was applied in Swansea city centre to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the pedestrian
