How a Warrior Door can impact the livelihoods of those living in communal housing
Walking into a housing block in the centre of any large city can be unsettling and sometimes an unpleasant experience. Communal entrances and spaces are often a place where you would find anti-social behaviour and unsanitary conditions which can lead to residents feeling unsafe and sometimes exposed to violent behaviour.
We at Warrior Doors, know the unpleasant conditions that residents can be subjected to when entering and leaving their flat or apartment. We have also seen the impact that installing a Warrior Door can have on the lifestyle of residents.
BUILDING SAFER COMMUNITIES
Warrior Doors are driven by a sense of community and for us, being part of projects that make residents safer is incredibly important. We also believe that the recent move toward ‘self-policing’ for safer communities requires safe, secure and robust entryways to community housing where there are elderly residents who want to feel safe.
WHY WARRIOR?
A security door designed, manufactured and installed by Warrior Doors is guaranteed to outlast the lifetime of its residents and potentially outlive the building itself.
Our bespoke doors are designed to withstand even the most violent of breach attempts while maintaining aesthetic appeal. The glass panel allows for natural surveillance while letting light into the space. We provide a 10 year guarantee.
CHELMSLEY WOOD
Chelmsley Wood is a densely populated borough centrally located in one of Solihull’s main retail centres. This is one area where Warrior Doors have been commissioned to replace many of the doors to communal entrance areas within housing blocks.
Chelmsley Wood has been a particular focus for redevelopment and neighbourhood improvement recently as its socio-economic status is less favourable than the average in Solihull.
Of the nine LSOAs (Lower Layer Super Output Areas), all except Bacon’s End and Yorkminster are in the top 20% of the most deprived neighbourhoods in the country. Chelmsley Wood Town Centre is in the top 10% deprived nationally.
Warrior Doors believe that our installations have contributed to the regeneration of this area in Solihull. The change of atmosphere in and around these housing blocks is noticeable to residents in the area and even to those visiting.
