Stitch Your Art Out! Have Fun Learning To Combine Art With Embroidery
Santa Rosa, CA. ~ Young fairgoers can have fun learning to combine art with embroidery at a Friday, August 5 Inspiration Station in the Garrett Building at the Sonoma County Fair. From 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., youth can choose a burlap “canvas,” draw a design and embroider it. Participants will start with a running stitch. More stitches can be added depending on
the attendee’s age and ability. No advance registration or materials fee is required for the workshop. Space is limited. Children 7―12 have free admission to the fair on Fridays. For the third year, this Inspiration Sta- tion is directed by Redwood Stitch- ers. Last year the number of youth exhibits with embroidery more than doubled the previous year. This year
