Nikki Gaskin Capehart >


Nikki Gaskin-Capehart is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida where she lives with her family. She was appointed by the Mayor of the City of St. Petersburg to serve as the Director of Urban Affairs.


Nikki is diligently working on an Urban Affairs agenda focused on; opportunity creation, nurturing neighborhoods and families, connecting through cultural affairs, and being a catalyst for commerce. This strategy is deeply rooted in the City’s vision to be a city of opportunity where the sun shines on all who come to live, work and play.


Nikki holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from the University of South Florida (USF) is a graduate of Leadership St. Petersburg, National Urban Fellows America’s Leaders of Change, Tampa Bay Public Leadership Institute,


Whitney M. Young Jr. Emerging Leaders, and Tampa Bay New Leaders Coalition.


Prior to her position with the City of St. Petersburg, Nikki was the Director of Communications and External Affairs for the Pinellas County Urban League, Deputy District Director for Congresswoman Kathy Castor, Execu- tive Director of the Partnership for a Healthier Pinellas, Outreach Director for Congressman Jim Davis, owner of Sanaa’ Systems Inc., and Assistant Vice President of Community Development Banking for AmSouth Bank.

Tim was born and raised in central Florida and introduced to music at an early age.


Tim Graddy, Tenor >


From grammar school to College, Tim performed as soloist for various


groups and churches. Tim holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Rollins College in Vocal Performance. A lover of sacred music; including oratorio, hymns, spirituals and anthems. His interpretation of each style has been appreciated by many an audience.


Tim has performed as soloist with the University of South Florida Singers, Rollins College Chapel Choir, and Gospel Choir, The Bach Festival of Central Florida, and the Messiah Association of Central FL. His credits also include musical theater, both vocal and dance.

for the Christmas Gala held at the National Harbor in Washington, DC.


Tim presently is artist in residence at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Lake Wales, FL where he serves as soloist and assistant choir director. He also serves as soloist and assistant choir director at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, Lakeland, FL.


Derrick Blue >


In 2004, Derrick began his career working for a real estate developer to establish new companies and develop land both in Florida and New Orleans. Later, he began to work for a non-profit organization called North East Florida Community Action Agency (NFCAA) and served as the first weatherization inspector in Putnam and Flagler Counties. Additionally, he was a major contributor in developing new inspection protocols. After two years, he was promoted to Housing Manager over both counties and later moved to Tampa, Florida and began his career with Tampa Hillsborough Action Plan (THAP) as a Weatherization Coordinator in the newly formed Polk County Office. Later, Derrick was promoted to director for both Hillsborough and Polk Counties where he continues to lead this program to higher heights. Derrick worked to implement new systems and procedures that not only improved production, but efficiency as well. As a result, several great partnerships were formed and great new ideas are continually being formed.


Derrick has recently been chosen to lead THAP's Housing and Property Management Division as Executive Director of Coastal Bay Properties, a subsidiary of the THAP Group. His experience details a dynamic leader with a proven track record in organizational change, program integrity, operational effectiveness, and amalgamating federal, state, and local resources.
