Albert is President & CEO of Tampa Bay Black Business Investment Corporation (BBIC), a U.S. Treasury certified community development financial institution (CDFI) that provides loans to small businesses not meeting conventional bank requirements. BBIC has funded millions of dollars in loans to small businesses. The BBIC offers direct loans, guaranteed loans and technical assistance to entrepreneurs. Albert has loaned & underwritten millions in commercial, real estate and retail loan transactions during his career. He started his banking career over 25 years ago after graduating from Florida A&M University. Albert was recruited by a regional bank in Tampa and received formal training in all aspects of banking: commercial credit analysis, underwriting, commercial lending, commercial real estate lending, consumer lending and retail bank management.
Professionally, Lee has held numerous positions in banking & financial services: Sr. Vice-President / Sr. Loan Manager, SBA Loan Manager, Vice-President & Senior Business Banker, Vice-President & Bank Manager, Credit Analyst and Licensed Investment Rep. Lee worked as a manager & business consultant with the University of South Florida’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC). During his tenure as a consultant & manager with the SBDC, he reviewed numerous business plans and assisted in packaging many loan requests.

As deputy mayor, Dr. Tomalin's citywide purview ranges from operations to strategy and serves to extend the mayor's reach. Prior to being appointed deputy mayor, Dr. Tomalin served as a healthcare executive in various senior leadership capacities for Health Management Associates' 23-hospital Florida Group and the five-county Bayfront Health Network.
An experienced strategist, she has also worked as a marketeer and journalist. Dr. Tomalin earned a B.S. in broadcast journalism from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, an MBA from the University of Miami and a Doctorate from Northeastern University.
A fifth-generation native, she is married to well-known adventurer Terry Tomalin and they have two children, Kai and Nia.
She has received numerous awards and appointments and is committed to many causes, namely improving the health of the community she serves.

Sonji Coney Williams, owner and licensed funeral director of Coney Funeral Home in Lakeland, Florida, is a prodigy in the mortuary and funeral industry. Sonji’s early childhood education began in Polk County. She is a 1984 graduate of Lakeland Senior High School. In 1985, she graduated from Lakeland Regional Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology. Continuing her undergraduate studies, Sonji enrolled in the College of Boca Raton, in Boca Raton, Florida in 1987 to study Mortuary Science under the leadership of the legendary Dr. John Chew. Subsequently, she interned under the late Lamar Shuler at Shuler’s Memorial Chapel in Delray Beach, FL. She opened Coney Funeral Home during this period as well.
Relocating to Tampa, Florida, Sonji opened a chapel and served her community’s needs for over a decade with state-of-the-art services for grieving families. Sonji is known for her signature white horse glass-encased casket services. She is extremely involved in her community, and serves in numerous capacities with different organizations such as the Florida Mortician’s Association; The Imperial Symphony Orchestra; Lakeland Chamber of Commerce; Lakeland Yacht and Country Club; and The Salvation Army. She is a graduate of Leadership of Lakeland and Focus on Leadership and is the founder of The Rose Foundation.
Sonji enjoys reading, roller-blading, snow skiing, travel and attending sporting events with her husband. Sonji is married to retired United States Army Lieutenant Colonel and Polk County Sheriff Office Sergeant, Andrew Williams. They have three (3) children and three (3) grandchildren. Her motto in life is: “It’s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.”
