highest accolade for environmental quality from leading sustainability charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful. Glenkinchie Distillery in
East Lothian, Oban Distillery in Argyll & Bute and Dalwhinnie Distillery in the Highlands were all awarded Gold accreditation – the highest available standard – in the charity’s National

house, JPY, started looking for an agency to handle their global marketing and to launch its latest product, Threads, its choice was simple: Ayrshire or America. Its search ended with a decision to pick Launch. John Yardley, Chairman at JPY, said: “Never in the history of JPY has such

leading global drinks business Diageo, are the first in Scotland to receive Gold accreditation and were recognised for their exceptional efforts across a wide range of criteria, including environmental quality, waste management and community participation. Praised for its continued
commitment to the sustainability agenda, Diageo
was presented with the award at a ceremony at Glenkinchie. Over the last year, Diageo has
witnessed a 13 per cent increase in visitor numbers across its 12 distillery visitor centres in Scotland, atracting a total of 370,150 guests. A record 54,444 people (+15 per cent) visited Oban Distillery, Dalwhinnie Distillery welcomed 44,288 people (+20 per cent) and Glenkinchie Distillery atracted 38,162 people (+7 per cent) in the year to June 2015.
Northern Ireland’s largest office furniture provider, the Alpha Group, has acquired a company in Glasgow from the world’s leading office furniture firm Steelcase. The acquisition is predicted to increase sales turnover for the business to in excess of £20million. Now named Alpha
Scotland, the eight-person team in Glasgow will remain at its city centre location on West Regent Street, bringing the total number of employees to 92 across the group. The Alpha Group now operates across Ireland, England and Scotland with its headquarters in Northern Ireland.
Alpha Group has already
completed a number of significant jobs in Scotland, including the refurbishment of the Technology and Innovation Centre at the University of Strathclyde, the biggest project in the company’s history. The acquisition follows
Alpha’s most successful year in business. The group saw a 12 per cent sales increase in 2015 following the company’s success in securing a number of large contracts.
