International Folk Parade. Route: Avenida de Alfonso el Sabio, Rambla de Méndez Núñez and Calle Rafael Altamira finishing in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. At 10pm there’s more partying in the barracas and bonfires on the beaches.


Friday 24th June is the night of the burning but there’s another 8am early morning parade with music bands and fire crackers in all districts with the Giants and Big Heads Parade from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento on the street at 1pm as they walk along to the Plaza de los Luceros and the 29th Mascelta Competition in the Plaza de los Luceros continues. Evening activities start at 8pm with the Official Hogueras Mass at the Concatedral de San Nicolás. The main event starts at midnight with the monumental Palmera firework from the Santa Barbara Castle on top of the Monte Benacantil, followed by the Cremá (burning) of the Fogueres.


The San Javier Jazz Festival takes place from the 1st to the 30th July 2016. This will be the 19th year of this fabulous event. Tickets are available to buy online or via the Festival Office in San Javier. The line up is below, along with the price of the tickets and more information can be found on the official website. A pass for all of


the concerts (except the ones on the 17th and 23rd)
