Recipe by Pushpa from Spice Hut


Fish Curry


500g fish fillet 2 tbsn vinegar some peppercorns 1 tspn mustard seeds 2 tbspn of oil 1 large onion finely diced 2 tspn garlic paste 2 tspn ginger paste


2 red chillies finely chopped, fresh or dried. salt as required ½ cup water


1. Rub in salt and vinegar on the fish and leave to one side.


2. Heat the oil, add the peppercorns and mustard seeds, allow to pop and crackle. 3. Add the marinated fish and gently cook the fish for few minutes. Add the diced onions, garlic, ginger paste and chopped chillies with ½ cup of water and cook further 15 minutes with lid on.


4. Check for required taste, add salt etc. 5. Serve hot with rice.
