news 9 Graduate builds for the future

Sarah Dives was awarded the accolade by the Chiltern branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, which accredits the Master’s qualification in Human Resource Management, for achieving the highest marks throughout her course.

The ambitious graduate progressed from HR assistant to business partner at the CIOB, in Bracknell, Berkshire, during her degree and achieved a distinction in every piece of work and exam, as well as the highest mark for her dissertation, called A Generation Game: The Impact of Generation on Employee Engagement. The CIOB sponsored her through her qualification.

Dives said: “I was thrilled to win the award. I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved during my studies, and it’s a great way to celebrate the end of two and a half years of hard work – particularly given the high standards I set for myself. I work for a chartered body myself which makes it very satisfying to receive an award from the Chiltern branch of the CIPD on top of my qualification.

“It’s a tremendous recognition of what I’ve been able to achieve during my studies and a great addition to my CV. I also feel it’s a way for me to demonstrate the commitment I have to my field of work and to ensuring that I am able to deliver to the best of my abilities.
