The penultimate award of the evening involved five Thames Valley deals.
The nominees were announced and the fingertip voting followed. Ten seconds later, accompanied by a musical crescendo, the result was displayed on giant screens for all to view.
Gaining the most votes and becoming the penultimate winners of the 2016 Deals Awards were the dealmaking team involved in the management buyout of BOFA International.
Jonathan Brown, managing director of category sponsor UBS Wealth Management, presented the Deals Awards trophy to BOFA’s deal team representative on the night, Christian Bruning, investment director at LDC.
Afterwards Bruning commented: “It’s great recognition and we are delighted to have won this award. BOFA is a fantastic business; the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of fume extraction systems employing over 160 staff, led by Tony Lockwood and his team.
“Tony, his team and LDC are all very excited about the future potential for this already successful business and through our financial backing, internal value enhancement resource and shared ambition we see lots of opportunity ahead. We were really pleased to work alongside local advisers, professionals and banks, all aligned to support a locally-based business with real ambition.”
