GLASGOW – EDINBURGH


Te fastest option to travel ‘end to end’ between Glasgow and Edinburgh is the route via Bathgate and Airdrie, which will have four trains per hour throughout the day with the journey taking about 70 minutes. Almost every train on this route will have the maximum six carriages. Tis service is running from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm each day. Passengers who travel from Linlithgow,


Polmont, Falkirk High and Croy will follow a diverted route from Glasgow Queen Street Low Level. Travellers from the other stations have a choice of two trains per hour; those from Croy have a choice of four. (Tis means that trains from Falkirk High have dropped from four an hour to two and journeys will take around 25 minutes longer. Other options: Two trains go from


Shots and Carstairs per hour to Glasgow Central taking either one hour 18 minutes or one hour 31. Tere is also one train every two hours between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Motherwell and


Carstairs, with a journey time between one hour and one hour 10 minutes.


GLASGOW – ABERDEEN/INVERNESS


Te normal service of trains each hour will run but from and to Glasgow Central. Journey times from and to Glasgow are about 40 minutes longer. Tis means that the last train from Central to Aberdeen is leaving 20 to 30 minutes earlier than it would normally leave Queen Street.


GLASGOW – ARBROATH/DUNDEE/PERTH


Services are being split between Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central so passengers should check ahead. Some services that normally terminate at Dunblane will travel on to Perth.


STIRLING, ALLOA, DUNBLANE AND LARBERT – GLASGOW


Tere is a half-hourly service between Glasgow and Edinburgh and these stations. Te service is being diverted into Queen Street Low Level


between Mondays and Saturdays. Journeys are taking about 25 minutes longer than usual.


FALKIRK GRAHAMSTON AND ANNIESLAND SERVICES


Services on these routes have been combined to provide a new hourly service – Anniesland- Falkirk Grahamston travelling via Springburn and Cumbernauld. Passengers travelling from Falkirk


Grahamston should change at Cumbernauld
