The leather community has plenty of very hard-working individuals and some are titleholders like Robert Rodriguez, or as everyone knows him, Robb Rodd. He is a past Mr. San Diego Eagle 2013, Imperial Court Emperor 42 of the Impe- rial Court de San Diego and just all around great guy. Robb has been producing the popular and growing Divas show at Rich’s and this year he is producing the Leather Fetish Ball and a new title in the San Diego leather community Mr. San Diego Leather Bear. The Mr. San Diego Leather Bear Contest will
take place at North Park’s Sunset Temple onFriday, February 19with aMeet and Greet onThursday, February 18 at Pecs. The winner of the first year’s title will win over $1000 in cash and prizes. Think “pageant contest” with burly guys strutting their stuff in three categories: swimwear (jockstraps), formal leather gear, and talent. When we say talent, we’re not talkin’ about twirling a baton (hmmm, I have to think about that one a little). The contestants showcase their skills in any number of fetish practices: Fur, leather and fetish, all wrapped in an evening of fun you won’t want to miss. Every year the Leather Fetish Ball is an evening of fabulous entertainers, choice music and of course, a love for leather. Saturday, February 27 is the third annual Fetish Ball in San Diego and this year’s theme isErotica. Enjoy performances and theatrics throughout the evening, to help your erotic side emerge. OrganizerRobb Rodd is bringing the ever talented Glen Alen to host and perform during the night and with this gender-bending performer you never know what you’re going to be dazzled by.
The pansexual event celebrates all genders and sexualities, leather and gear fetishes, honoring the deeply diverse tribes of San Diego, Long Beach, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palm Springs and surrounding
cities...All while raising money for local charities. This
is your opportunity to wear your best leathers and gear in a welcoming environment to celebrate your love for leather. Enjoy performances and theatrics throughout the evening and revel in your erotic side. Leather, Fetish, Uniforms, Sports Gear is highly encour- aged, but not required, but let’s face it, when can you get the opportunity to wear your best gear and meet other like-minded friends? An added feature for this year’s ball is the inclusion of a special space for our sober friends in the community, so everyone is welcome to enjoy the fun. A shout-out and a “Bravo Robb” for his commit- ment of continuing to create amazing events that celebrate the diversity of our San Diego LGBT community.
