Santa Rosa, CA. ~ Wait a second...I was just celebrating Fourth of July! Oh,
yeah...that was 5 months ago! Where did the time go? Christmas is here, and the new year is barely 5 weeks away! What the heck! It’s all good though! I just had my 52nd birthday, and do I feel 52? No way! Not even close...well, my hair is almost white...but it will be perfect if I decide play Santa Clause this year! But, you know who plays Santa Claus the best? Our upbeat friend named Garth, from Sebasto- pol! He’s on the front cover this month, and as you can see... and, at the North Pole. (Super- imposed of course) But, he will be at Korbel Winery, the fi rst part of December playing the
role...and I’m sure very well. Despite many conversations refl ecting on the challenges

around the globe, I see people being
resilient and stronger
than ever. I cant even imagine what goes though the minds of people bent on disrupting peace anywhere on this globe. It is baffl ing to me to say the least. Like I have communicat- ed before...Have people forgot- ten that we are on a planet, all together in the middle of outer space? That’s for another col- umn in the distant future. My wife & I biked through the redwoods along Big River, south of the town of Men- docino. The next day we biked north of Fort Bragg along the 10 mile stretch of sandy beach- es and rock. I received fresh air

and sights of awesome oceanic beauty as an instant benefi t. And then at night(there were three), I sat outside observ- ing glowing stars that light up earths night sky in the absence of the sun! I was once again im- pressed & humbled by space’s deep and distant suns, all shin- ning brightly. ‘I’m so puny’ I thought to myself. But I’ve not forgotten all my neighbors from around the globe... those who look up to the stars appre- ciating all that is out there, and here, right on earth.
2016 is nearly on us, so
I’ll wrap it up wishing all of you a wonderful Holiday Season!
May this issue fi nd you well!
Farmers Fred and Bob were fi shing on the side of the road. They made a sign saying “The End is Near! Turn yourself around now before it’s too late!,” and showed it to each passing car.
One driver that passed didn’t appreciate the sign and shouted, “The end isn’t near! You guys are nuts!”
All of a sudden they heard a big splash.
Fred grinned at Bob. “Do you think we should just put up a sign that says: ‘Bridge Out’ instead?”
