• Wednesday 30th September, Marie Curie information evening. An informal information night about setting up a Dunblane based Fundraising Group. See page 58 for more information.
• Sunday 4th October, Art’n’Mart Community Market, Victoria Halls. 11am-4pm. Entry is free but we would ask people to make a donation to our local charity of the month as they enter the venue instead. This month it is Scottish Hospices.
• Sunday 4th October, Guitar Recital in the Cathedral at 3pm. Ayman Jarjour will amaze with his versatility in a range of styles, including Baroque, Classical, Contemporary, Spanish, Latin American and Middle Eastern. • Sunday October 4th, Forth Valley Friends of Scottish Opera We are very lucky this month to be visited by the creators of a new opera. Composer Stuart MacRae and novelist (and in this instance librettist) Louise Welsh will talk with Friends Manager Anne Higgins about The Devil Inside. This is their new work, based on a short story by Robert Louis Stevenson, which Scottish Opera is putting on later in the season. All very welcome. 2.30pm, Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Stirling. Members £5, Visitors £6, Students £1, including tea/coffee and biscuits.
• Monday 5th October, The Dunblane Cathedral Guild kick starts this year with a re- dedication service to be held in St Blanes church at 7.30p.m followed by entertainment and a light supper. All are welcome to join us under the national theme of “Be Bold, Be Strong!” so come along, be bold, and come to the Cathedral Halls where we meet each month.
