Santa Rosa, CA. ~ Six high school music students from Forestville and Sebastopol will attend jazz camp in August, thanks to two clubs devoted to the preservation and apprecia- tion of traditional New Orleans music, it was announced today. The students will attend the Sacramento Jazz Camp through August 9th, held at Sly Park, in the El Dorado National Forest near Pollock Pines. The camp is held each year and the direc- tor is Bill Dendle, well-known

Each student will be assigned to a small jazz band, attend group lessons in playing jazz and also given private lessons, Laveroni said. “TRAD JASS, is joined by the Napa Valley Dixieland Jazz Society, in rais- ing funds for this important op- portunity for young musicians to learn to play and appreciate the truly American style of mu- sic,” he continued. “Our club will soon celebrate its 30th an- niversary and we are proud to be able to continue helping the next generation of musicians.” The two clubs meet once a
