A native of Niagra NY and a resident of Land O’ Lakes, George and wife Margie were long time volunteers with the Pasco County Fair, he also served on the Board of Directors. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
DR. PHILIP LEVINE 9-2-1934—1-27-2015
A Board Certified Forensic Odona-
tologist, Dr. Levine also co-owned P.J. Sweets in Cordova Common with his wife Susan. Active in many organizations he was a Board Mem- ber of the Pensacola Interstate Fair. Besides his wife he is survived by his sister Eileen Abrams.
PETER GEIGER 3-10-39—1-29-2015 Active in the affairs of the Penny
Farms community, he was a corre- spondent for Clay Today. He won a Pulitzer Prize in 1987 while working for the Akron Beacon Journal. Pete and his wife Sandy were very active in the Clay County Fair.
KATHLEEN HOEGSTED 7-29-1953—2-21-2015
Kathy fought a valiant battle against cancer. She lived in Naples, FL and was active in the Collier County Fair.
SARAH LYNN BOE 1921—3-30-15
“Miss Sarah” was active in many organizations in Clay County. She was also instrumental in raising the money to get the Clay County Fair Association started. One of her lasting legacies will be the creation of the Early Florida Village exhibit at the Clay County Fairgrounds, where one of the exhibits was dedi- cated in her honor in 2006. There is also a plaque recognizing her vision for the village. She is sur- vived by two sons and two grand-
sons.
HILMAN BOWDEN 1924—5-16-2015
Born in Alabama, Mr. Bowden was a career banker. He served our country during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of many boards in Hillsborough Coun- ty including the Tampa Sports Au- thority and the Florida Strawberry Festival. He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 64 years, two sons, 5
grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. NELL MAYBERRY
4-3-1942—5-25-2015 Nell was born in Georgia but spent
the rest of her life in Citrus County and was an avid Gator Fan. She was a re- tired medical billing manager. She served as President of the Citrus Coun- ty Fair Association for many years. She attended many Florida Federation of Fairs conventions and served on sever- al committees including the hospitality committee, making the best of the Pla- za Hotel basement in Daytona. She was active in the com- munity and in her church. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Tom. Her daughter Leslie Gail Priest and grandson Logan Priest. She is also survived by her brother Albert Jordan and sister Ann Gibbs.
