Firefighters 68th Annual Barbeque The Murrieta Fire Department is hosting its 68th Annual Firefighters Bar-


beque on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Another year brings one of Riverside County’s longest running events in its history. The Murrieta Firefighter’s Bar- beque has been a great event not just for the fun, food and entertainment, but it has offered an opportunity for the region and local businesses to pro- mote their products and services. Many companies have used this event to advertise, meet the local customer base, and develop strategies to market their products based on the members of the community that attend. Reser- vations are being accepted for vendor spots. A 10’ X 10’ foot space will be provided for up to a $40.00 fee that will include the designated area along the main thoroughfare and all the permits required. Vendors will be required to bring all needed chairs, tents, tables, and equipment including power sup- ply. Murrieta Lions Clubs Offer Hearing Aids to the Needy


The Murrieta Lions Clubs participate in a program


that makes hearing aids available to the hearing impaired qualified low income persons. The Clubs collect used hearing aids which are refurbished and made ready for disburse to approved recipients. Look for collection sites around the city. Qualified persons must be prepared to submit evidence that a Doctor has determined that they are deaf because of physical conditions and a hearing specialist has performed an evaluative test. Interested persons may contact the Murrieta Lions Club Hearing Chairperson, Lion Tonia Capps, to determine if they qual- ify for this worthwhile program. Aerobics Classes The City of Lake Elsinore is offering a new Aerobics


fitness class. Aerobics involves aerobic elements with in- terval moves conducted for anyone to follow. Aerobic Fit- ness will utilize free weights, steps, and resistance bands.


Participants are required to bring 5 or 8lb dumbbell weights & pay $5 equip- ment fee to instructor. All fitness levels are welcome, ages 14 & older. Call for Artists and Craftsmen The Anza Valley Artists (AVA) has announced they are seeking artists and


craftsmen to participate in the HeART of the High Country Spring Art Show and Sale. The show is Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Outdoor vender space is $35. Artists Invited to Exhibit at the 2015 Temecula State of The City


Mayor Comerchero cordially invites artists of all ages to create artwork


for an art exhibition to be displayed at the 2015 Temecula State of the City. Artwork must reflect the theme: “Temecula Has Heart ...Because Nice Mat- ters” and be distinguishable as Temecula. A jury panel will select the Grand Prize Winner. In addition, the Mayor will select art piece(s) which best reflect the message of the campaign as well as artistic excellence as the “Mayor’s Choice Award.” Original artwork must be submitted to the City no later than Monday, May 4, 2015 at 5pm and artists may submit up to two entries.
