Yuen Foong Yu Packaging orders a containerboard line from Valmet
production line from Valmet for its Xin Wu mill in Taoyuan County. The line, which is expected to start up in the third quarter of 2016, will produce high-quality fluting grades out of 100 percent recycled raw materials. The order, the value of which

With a design speed of 1,200

Domtar to convert Ashdown paper line to fluff pulp
Equipment and technical services to convert a paper machine from uncoated freesheet to fluff pulp at one of Domtar’s US mills have been ordered from Valmet. The order is part of a US$160 million project at Ashdown in Arkansas to convert the A64 paper machine which is scheduled to begin operation in the third quarter of 2016. The delivery includes a new
wet end, upgrades to existing cylinder dryer section, a new fully

automated reel and a new OptiWin Pulp winder, along with a bypass run to a new cutter-layboy with an automated bale handling line. Domtar’s Ashdown mill has
three pulp lines and three paper machines with yearly paper capacity of 680,000 tons and pulp capacity of 700,000 tons. It produces uncoated freesheet papers: offset, copy paper, laser form bond and check paper and bleached hardwood and softwood Kraft market pulp.
