Board 24 invests at its Preston plant

K-based corrugated sheetboard manufacture Board 24 has installed a full-


line corrugator supplied by BHS as part of a £9 million investment at its mill in Lancashire. The BHS corrugator, with a width of 2.5 metres and a maximum speed of 400 metres per minute,

Marshall says he is excited by the benefi ts the new line will bring.


“We have, in conjuncti on with BHS, specifi ed the corrugator to off er industry leading performance while recognising the unique requirements of the


UK sheet plant market,” he says. The machine includes the latest


developments for the producti on of a wide range of board grades – from the lightest recycled papers and specialist coated papers, to heavy kraft papers. These can be produced at the highest producti on speeds with board performance levels which are
