• Better Choices, Better Health, a free six-week healthy lifestyes course, will take place Tuesdays starting March 3 from 9-11:30 a.m. in the board room at the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization, 500 11 St. S. The course offers support to people who have ongoing chronic health conditions, or are at risk of developing a condition like high blood pressure, asthma, heart disease, arthritis, obesity, chronic pain, diabetes, cancer, stroke, COPD and others. Adult family members and caregivers are also welcome. Individuals wanting to take part in the course need to register in advance. Admission is free. • The Galt Museum and Archives’ “Wednesdays at the Galt” program for ages 55+ will continue March 4 with “Voices from the Engraver Exhibit Tour.” Come learn more about the creative process involved in the production of Canadian stamps and banknotes. The program runs from 2-3 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday; registration is not required. Admission is $5 per week for seniors (65+), $6 for adults, and includes Discovery Hall access. The program is free for annual pass holders; annual passes are available at the Museum Store for $20 (seniors) and $25 (adults). • Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization will host a Practising Happiness group running for six weeks from March 4-April 8, 10-11:30 a.m. in Room C and D at the LSCO, 500 11 St. S. Matthew Halton was born and raised in Pincher Creek. • Anglican Church of the Ascension in Coaldale, 2115 17 St., will celebrate World Day of Prayer 2015 March 6 at 7 p.m. This year’s service is written by the women of the Bahamas. Hotdog, chips and juice by donation. Also a bake sale, and a silent auction with proceeds going toward the proposed upgrade to the Iron Springs community playground project. Some funds will also go to assist with operating expenses for the annual Iron Springs Parade in September.
