up next courtesy of Griffon Sword. This was either throwback


heaven or ’80s hell depending on your opinion of cheesy ’80s hair metal music. Griffon Sword dressed in their


’80s best spandex, did an impressive job performing some challenging songs, especially considering the high register the vocals of bands like Journey are. They opened with some Journey’s “Separate Ways” and continued with a variety of ’80s metal including Ratt’s “Round and Round,” Warrant’s “Cherry Pie” and I think some Judas Priest. They were an immediate hit


with the crowd who were singing along. So they were called back for an encore of Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer.” I missed alternative rockers Fox Eyes and the Ruby Plumes.
