Adaptive floating system adds ‘water appeal’
D
escribed as the world-first commercial and domestic adaptive floating system (AFS), Waterscape was
recently introduced by Superior. The system can accommodate not just a boat mooring, but a full entertaining space, complete with barbecue, booth seating and shade. The area
is lit by a series of LED lights, which are controlled with a smartphone app.

Permanent tape for shrink-wrapping
While shrink wrap is highly adaptable in conforming to the strangest of nautical shapes, at times an installer needs to permanently fuse together two or more sections of material. Dr Shrink’s Permanent Shrink Wrap Tape secures multiple shrink- wrapped pieces to adapt to a unique application, reinforce a seam or even patch a hole. It is ideal for bonding pleats and folds to avoid wind damage during long-term storage or transport. Employing a powerful,
proprietary acrylic adhesive, Permanent Shrink Wrap Tape off ers extraordinarily high adhesion power.
The bond is so strong, in fact, that Dr Shrink warns users to avoid contact with anything other than shrink-wrap. It is applied after the shrink-wrap has been heated and shrunk, and is easily cut using Dr Shrink’s Wrap n’ Strap Knife. The white tape is available in
54.86 metre rolls that are 10.16 cm wide.
