Success in Qatar and at METS for Maricer
T
he continued growth of Maricer into the Middle East has just seen its new ‘Neptune’ service
pedestal make its debut in Qatar. Nigel Draper, UK and International General Manager, commented: “With its robust yet stylish construction, coupled with its fl exibility, the ‘Neptune’ range of service pedestals fi tted the remit for this project perfectly”. He continued, “The ‘Neptune’ range utilises the latest technology in LED lighting, giving that ‘wow’ factor to the marina, whilst off ering the robustness to withstand the harsh environment associated with a marina in the Middle East. “The ‘Neptune’ range of service
pedestals complements Maricer’s existing portfolio of products and services perfectly. As with all of the service pedestals within our portfolio, the ‘Neptune’ is fl exible enough to accommodate supplies from 16 amp single-phase up to 250 amp three-phase. Add to this the totally separated water compartments, making the ‘Neptune’ an ideal solution
money and loss of revenue caused by the upheaval of installing cables. Nigel Draper added, “The addition
for the Middle East region’s supply authorities that require water and electricity segregation as a standard.” The ‘Neptune’ is also able to
accommodate a complete range of metering systems, including the new metering and monitoring system ‘Admiral Control’, which Maricer launched at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) in Amsterdam. Maricer Director Ted Waring said, “We have been working hard over the last 12 months with our IT specialists to design and deliver a comprehensive metering and monitoring system, incorporating many features that other systems cannot currently off er.
‘Admiral Control’ has taken metering and monitoring systems to another level by off ering various alarms, such as water leakage, disconnection of electricity supplies, along with other features that include pedestal lighting control and access to the system via smartphone or tablet, using a unique secure passcode”. With its intuitive software, ‘Admiral
Control’ is compatible with most MMS packages, such as Pacsoft, and can be operated in credit, pre-payment or a mixture of both formats. Using the very latest in RF technology, it can be retro-fi tted into any marina without the need for cabling, thus saving
of ‘Admiral Control’ to our product portfolio further enhances Maricer’s position within the industry as becoming a market leader and being synonymous with marine services and equipment”. He continued, “There are further products currently under development that we shall be launching over the coming months, which we at Maricer are very excited about, so keep an eye on our website at
www.maricer.com for launch dates and availability”. METS saw an upsurge of enquiries
from all parts of the globe for Maricer’s services and equipment, which reinforces Maricer’s decision of two years ago to exhibit in the Marina Yard Pavilion (MYP) as the correct one. Ted Waring remarked, “At the time, I wasn’t sure if we were doing the right thing in leaving the British Pavilion. However, now we’ve exhibited in MYP for the last two shows’, I feel that decision has been vindicated”.
