RICS has announced the inauguration of its new presidential team, with Alan Collett succeeding See Lian Ong as the 131st President of the institution. The organisation’s first
inauguration to take place outside the UK also saw Michael Newey take office as President Elect, while Louise Brooke Smith becomes the institution’s first female Senior Vice President. Held in Dublin, the ceremony also sees the appointment of Robert Mayhew as Vice President, while Martin Brühl and Chris Fossick will continue in their roles. Bill Gater continues as RICS Honorary Treasurer and Rob Mahoney continues as RICS Honorary Secretary.

Spicerhaart invests £5m in haart brand
Spicerhaart reports that it is set to invest over £5 million enhancing the level of service that is provided by its Haart estate agency brand. The independent estate agency group says it will embark on a ‘service revolution’ within its 124-strong haart network. Every member of staff
within haart’s residential sales, residential lettings, financial and legal services divisions will take part in a brand training programme which will include the creation of brand champions within each branch to act as a focal point for brand activity at a local level. The move follows widespread consultation with customers over recent months about the type of estate agent they would like to see on the high street. Spicerhaart will also be
rolling out a new look for the haart brand which will include a major refresh of the company’s website
