POOL REPAIRS & REFURBISHMENT CASE STUDY Tile Problem Solved At Exclusive London Club

Cheshire based Tiling & Pool Projects (UK) Ltd were recently approached by The Roehampton Club, an exclusive and private health club based in London to rectify the problems they were experiencing with tiles that were missing and constantly coming loose in the swimming pool. The leisure facilities are part of a luxury complex and have a very high standard of clientele who expect nothing but the best. After meeting on site and discussing the options available an underwater survey

was carried out to establish the extent of the problem. Tiling & Pool Projects then provided references so that the client could be sure they were dealing with a professional company and soon after that, the decision was made by the client that the pool would be drained, further investigation carried out and defective tiles and screed would be removed and replaced. Tiling & Pool Projects completed the works in the timescale allowed and upon completion the client was extremely pleased with the finished result. “We were

confident we chose Tiling & Pool Projects to carry out the works due to the excellent references we had back from previous customers who had used them for similar projects. The team of men who carried out the works were fantastic from start to finish and any problems that did occur were dealt with and fixed quickly. I am more than happy to recommend them to anyone else who are looking for a professional tiling company,” said the CEO of the club. Tony Crank, the Managing Director of

Tiling & Pool Projects (UK) Ltd said: “The contract had a few problems during the works, but this can be expected when dealing with swimming pool repairs/ refurbishments. The client and his staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble during the contract with regards to quick decisions or an extra pair of hands when needed.”

dry-land version. Up until now underwater or wet-condition drilling has been limited to either pneumatic or hydraulically powered drills. This type of system requires a link to a compressor and tank on the surface or an external tank below.

The unique underwater cordless drill utilises a simple drive train which makes it a fraction of the cost and very comfortable to use.

It comes complete with an 18V 3Ah rechargeable battery, 10mm keyless chuck and two reversible speeds. It has 16 torque settings for every application. At only 3kg it is easy to handle, but strong enough to cope with most things you will need it for.

COMMERCIAL & SPECIALISED DIVING ENSURE NO MORE COSTLY CLAIMS

Every pool operator is responsible for the

health and safety of people using their pools. The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and other similar legislations place general obligations on pool operators and official HSE standards in the UK recommend that pool managers evaluate accident records on a regular basis to ensure that their pools remain safe and accident free however, it is often difficult to spot a sharp edge or a broken tile until it’s too late. On average the cost of settling a compensation claim for bodily cuts as a result of poor maintenance of a pool is around £10,000 – a costly sum and a high price to pay when preventative repair work could have been undertaken for a fraction of the cost.
