Caxtons have announced that they have become a


member of Allied Surveyors, which provides a


network of firms throughout the UK, offering reliable residential property advice including surveys, ‘HomeBuyer’ reports and valuations.


In addition to its existing


portfolio, Caxtons will now provide professional services associated with house purchase to clients across Kent. Ian Cousins BSc FRICS, who


works out of the Kent Thameside office and the Castle Street office in Canterbury, has joined Caxtons from fellow Allied Surveyors members, Stuart Edwards Fullermoon in Croydon, specifically to undertake the valuation and survey work generated by the Allied Surveyors alliance. Graham Mitchell, Finance Director and Head of Professional Services said, “During his twenty- year career as a surveyor, Ian has gained invaluable experience and we are delighted that he has joined Caxtons in order to assist us with our Allied Surveyors workload. We will continue to work closely with Stuart Edwards Fullermoon, who provide the commercial valuation service for Allied Surveyors in Kent, as well as both residential and commercial work in South London, Surrey and Sussex, and look forward to a long and successful relationship.”

Hamptons International has announced the launch of a new specialist Waterside property division. Established to meet a


growing demand from buyers and tenants for waterside properties, Waterside by Hamptons International is a collection of the very finest waterside properties across the Hamptons Sales and Lettings networks, from riverside penthouses to country houses on private lakes. To mark the launch of the new division, a Hamptons International study has revealed the premiums associated with waterside living. According to the results of the Hamptons International branch survey, properties by water are 18 per cent more expensive in London than similar properties which do not have a water feature. Across our country branches, this


International study of rents conducted recently for a new Central London development revealed that waterside views were worth 13 per cent more on average and as high as 16 per cent for three bedroom properties compared with other units on the same floor. For landlords, this translates to nearly £50 extra per week for a one bedroom property and more than £130 per week for three bedroom flats. Neal Wood, Head of

GrowtH for fyfe mcdade Fyfe McDade who have recently opened their third office, are predicting a buoyant 2011 in the central London property market, reporting increased volumes of both buyer and tenant enquiries through their well established Shoreditch and Bloomsbury branches.
