October 11 - 12 Autumn extravaganza, Great Comp Garden, near Sevenoaks This exciting event, in its second year, will take place when the garden is at its height of Autumn splendour and will introduce a wide spectrum of exhibitors from across the region. There will be a strong emphasis on gardens and garden ornamentation with local artisan food producers and craft people also feature. The event will commence each day at 11am, and finish at 5pm. Normal entrance fees apply, and season ticket holders can attend free of charge.
October 12 Woofs and Wellies, Kent Showground, Detling, Maidstone This year’s Woofs and Wellies walk, in aid of the Heart of Kent Hospice, allows you to choose between a five or six-mile circular walk starting at the Kent Showground in Detling and then taking you along the North Downs Way. Each dog will receive a goody bag and the pooch who gets most sponsorship will be awarded a luxury hamper. Admission is £10 per dog and the owner is free. October 18 - 19 Apple Festival, Brogdale, near Faversham There will be a display of about 400 apple varieties and ‘try before you buy’ in the apple barn. Tractor trailer and walking tours of the orchards will be running and the craft and produce village will offer some unique gift ideas. Enjoy live music, local food and entertainment during the weekend.
October 19 Emmetts Conker Championships, Emmetts Garden, near Sevenoaks Challenge your family and friends to a traditional game of conkers. This is a free event (normal admission charges to the garden apply).
