Heading out on the eastern side of town, stunning Leeds Castle is the jewel in Kent’s crown, providing history, extensive play areas, a maze, wildlife and plenty of space for picnics. If you’re older than 10, you can Go Ape on the tree-top adventure trail, fly down zip-wires and tackle the Tarzan swing while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. The trail is open all year but booking is essential. If you’re on a tight budget, then there is free admission to attractions such as the White Horse Country Park, situated opposite the Kent County Showground on the A249 near Detling . Discovering the North Downs, maybe with a kite and a picnic is also great fun. There’s also no
