LOCAL groups and organisations are always on the lookout for volunteers and there are many ways that you can help the community.
Volunteering
It’s a great way to use your skills, keep active and make friends. Here are just some of the many good causes in the Malling area who would like to hear from you.
Make Scouting friends HAVE you ever thought about volunteering with your local scouting group? We currently have three active sections in West Malling Group Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We have a huge range of activities from the traditional hiking, camping, tying knots, and pioneering to going scuba diving, visiting local places of interest and expeditions - if this interests you then why not come along? You could make some great friends and provide a valuable service to the children. We currently have spaces for adult volunteers with our Beaver section but all sections would make you feel welcome, just give it a go. Contact Joanne Coombs at justjo-

Concerto and Brandenburg Concerto No.3 - a great way to finish the weekend.
The festival’s artistic director Thomas Kemp said: “This
year’s festival is the most ambitious yet and features some fabulous music and great performers. There is a wealth of great venues in the Malling area and I am delighted we are able to use them to make and share music with our audiences. I am particularly pleased that we have so many local schools participating in the festival and that young people have the opportunity to work with, see and hear fantastic artists at the very top of their game - something they will never forget."
