Saturday September 20 Teston Jumble Sale, 2.30pm at Teston Village Hall. Proceeds to Teston Church.


Saturday September 20 Churches Together in Malling Barn Dance. 7pm – 10pm West Malling Village Hall. Admission by ticket only, tickets £5; accompanied children free (but will need a child’s ticket) Bring and share meal, tea, coffee and soft drinks provided.

Saturday September 27 Macmillan Coffee Day at the Vicarage, East Malling. 10.30am-3.30pm. A very warm welcome will await you at the vicarage for this fundraising event. There will be cakes, books and “Angels” for sale. Revd Jim and Jean look forward to seeing you.

West Malling.


Friday October 3 Trottiscliffe Village Hall Quiz Night. Make up your own tables of eight or come along and join other quizzers. Saturday October 4 The Friends of St. James the Great, East Malling harvest supper dance at the Village Hall, East Malling commencing at 7.30pm. There will be a fish and chip supper included and music from the 1960s, 70s and 80s by local band The Connections. Tickets at £12 each can be obtained from Maureen Banfield (01622 717476), Pat Gill (01732 522355) or Jean Spinks (01732 870722).


Please let her know as far in advance as possible so that it may be possible to avoid clashes and maximise the attendances at each event.

Sunday October 5 The Four Seasons in the Barn Chapel starting at 3pm. Julian Milone brings the London Violin Ensemble back to Pilsdon to perform Vivaldi's most popular work, as well as some Puccini, Paganini and Rossini. Sarah Oates will be the soloist. Tickets, £12 on the door. Children free.


Sunday October 5 Harvest Festival service, 9.30am at Trottiscliffe Church.


Friday October 10 Harvest Supper with magical entertainment at Trottiscliffe Village Hall. All welcome.

Sunday October 19 Offham Village Hall Vintage Fair.


Alongside the steam and vintage car and bike rally, don’t forget to pop in to the village hall to see the vintage goods on offer – entry is free. 10am – 3pm.

Kings Hill Rotary meets every Monday at 7.30pm at the Spitfire Pub.


Chip Productions Drama Group meets Fridays at 7.30pm at West Malling Village Hall.


Malling Photographic Society meets every Tuesday at West Malling Village Hall at 8pm.


The Heath Players meet at the East Malling Institute, Mill Street, at 8pm on Fridays.


Malling Rotary meets Tuesdays at 6.30pm at Spadework, Teston Road, Offham.


Malling Art Society meets every Thursday at Offham Village Hall, 8pm - 10pm.


Dance for fun every Monday at St James Centre, East Malling, 6.30pm - 7.30pm. £1.


Malling Community Choir meets every Tuesday at West Malling Baptist Church, 7.15pm-8.45pm. £2 per adult, children free.


Addington Bridge Club meets every Tuesday from 7pm in the sports pavilion, Park Road.


Malling Stamp Club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the Clout Institute, West Malling High Street, at 7.30pm.


East Malling Women’s Institute meets at the East Malling Institute behind the King and Queen pub on the third Monday of every month, 7.45pm - 9.45pm.


Spadework Farmers Market is on the second Saturday of the month from 10am to 12.30pm at Spadework, Teston Road. For more details, see www.spadework.net.
