PETER CONISBEE “I was invited to join the Trust because of my experience
with property and I’m so proud of the money it puts back into the community. The Trust has a low profile and many people don’t know what it does but, by careful management, The Trust distributed over £300,000 to local causes in 2013. Just one example is the significant contribution that The Trust has made towards the current renovations at St Saviours Church,.”
He next joined the Flavel. “The Flavel is the most remarkable organisation. If
Dartmouth is the jewel in the south Hams crown, then The Flavel must surely be the jewel in Dartmouth’s crown! Where else can you live in such a stunning location and walk down the road to watch world class entertainment? I am delighted to be on the board of trustees and privileged to contribute to its continued success.” Peter is also a director of the recently formed Dartmouth
BID [Business Improvement District} – why does he think it will be a success? “There are so many people with varied skills and experi- ence in the town. It’s the best chance there is to bring everyone together to work for the good of the economy of the town. The BID is a long term project with a 5 year plan, so it will be a while before the full effects are felt but I’m sure that at the end of the term, people will see big benefits to the town thanks to the BID.”
