THe RoTARY CLuB oF DARTMOUTH OFFERS suPPoRT FoR LoCAL ORGANISATIONS
he new President Elect of The Rotary Club of
Dartmouth, Nigel Thorpe, has contacted By The Dart asking us to publicise the following letter he has written to all local organisations and groups about possible financial support from the organisation. “Every year the Rotary Club of Dartmouth raises
money in our local area so that we can support organisations and charities, in the hope that our gift may be able to make a difference. In preparing a list of what organisations and
charities we might be able to help in the future, we are anxious to ensure that every group in our area is given careful consideration. And that means we need to know how we can help. I am therefore writing to you to ask you to let
me know how a small gift from the Rotary Club of Dartmouth might be of benefit to your group. We are prepared to give a gift towards running costs, but on the whole like to see something concrete or specific as a result of the donation. I must emphasise that this letter is not currently an offer of support. It is only the first step of a process that may lead us to be able to support your group at some future date. But we certainly can’t help you unless we know about your group, what you achieve, and how the Rotary Club of Dartmouth may be able to help. I do look forward to hearing from you.”

So if you have a home in Dartmouth or the surrounding villages, play regularly at Coronation Park, or are military staff serving at BRNC, why
