This 2008 Jeep Liberty was the first major build in Superior Mobile Fabrica- tion & Personalization’s new location. The customer wanted a 15 in his trunk but didn’t want to lose any trunk space. These two requests became the installers’ build objectives. The first was to maintain the same available floor space in the trunk since the customer had a custom mat- tress made for his Jeep for road trips. The second was to have the ability to “make babies cry,” which the installers took as a request to build an unnecessarily loud output. They used the Arc Audio ARC15, powered by a RE Audio XT4000DE. Taking a mold of the entire rear quar- ter panel, they designed a box around the airspace requirements employing OEM lines in the trunk, then built it up gen- erously. It was then wrapped in marine vinyl and dyed to match the OEM plas- tic. The new shop hasn’t decided on a logo yet, so Fortenberry and his team designed a ‘13’ into the Liberty logo in a trim panel.
