Godinton House and Gardens, Ashford The Kent Hardy Plant Society plant fair will run from 11am- 5pm. With over 10 local nurseries there will be plenty of inspiration and a variety of plants to purchase. Entry to plant fair and gardens is £5 for adults, children under 16 free. May 25 & 26 Community Weekend The Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway This new event is to highlight the good work of other local voluntary organisations and charities. Trains will be running hourly from 11am until 4pm, leaving from Sittingbourne viaduct station.


May 27 - 30 Bug Hunt, Quex Gardens Join in the half term fun as you search for bugs in the garden and take a closer inspection under the microscope in the Powell-Cotton Museum. 11.30 am to 1 pm. Adults £8, Children £6. Prices include entry to the museum, house and gardens.

The Globe Theatre , Penshurst Place A rare opportunity as Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre comes to Penshurst Place. Wander the gardens and watch actors as they rehearse their lines live ahead of the evening premier performance of ‘Love’s Victory’ in the magnificent medieval Baron’s Hall. Written by Lady Mary Wroth, the niece of Sir Philip Sidney, in 1620, the play has not been performed in its entirety for almost 400 years.
