MYSTICAL MENTORS Peter O’ Toole - The End of an Era By T. Stokes
The death of actor Peter O Toole on December 14, 2013 at the age of 81 brought an end to an era.
Peter never knew where he was born but genealogists say he was born in Yorkshire on August 2 1932 to a strict Irish father who made his living as a bookie. Peter was brought up to love his Irish ancestry. Yet he was rejected by the Dublins Abbey Theatre as he was seen as not Irish enough.
Peter was educated by nuns and he never forgot the harshness of their early treatment. The nuns would scold and beat children who were left -handed because this was said to be the devils hand. The term “left hand path” is synonymous with evil and thus children who were left-handed were called devil’s children. O Toole described these nuns as being in total denial of their wom- anhood, adding what god would ask such things of his finest creation
His father was anti British and several members of his fam- ily were sympathizers to the German cause in WW II.
Peter’s first career was as a reporter, which fulfilled his childhood dreams, but he found his true calling when he made his acting debut at age 17.
He starred in many films but as he said about himself he woke one morning famous as hell. It was after David Lean cast him in “Lawrence of Arabia” which became a worldwide smash that he gained notoriety. He is described as a great actor in a great film, capturing the essence of who Lawrence really was.
Lawrence was used by the British in WWII to tell the Arabs if they fought for Britain they could keep their lands, while at the same time the British were promising the land to the Jews.
He achieved stardom playing T. E. Lawrence in Lawrence of Arabia (1962) for which he received his first Academy Award nomination. He received seven further Oscar nominations – for Becket (1964), The Lion in Winter (1968), Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1969), The Ruling Class (1972), The Stunt Man (1980), My Favorite Year (1982) and Venus (2006) – and holds the record for the most Academy Award acting nominations without a win. He won four Golden Globes, a BAFTA and an Emmy, and was the recipient of an Honorary Academy Award in 2003.
He was expected by everyone to win the award that was given to Ben Kingsely for Ghandi, and many insiders

said this was fixed, as almost everyone thought O Toole deserved the award more.
His hands from the picture shown here describe a man, who with a headline ending low on Luna, signifies an imaginative and creative man. The long fate line is an omen for a good career, but very much the tool of fate. The right hand, Saturn finger with a ring, indicates deep-seated insecurities which concern his future. The long little or Mercury finger tells of communication and the ability to reach people, essential qualities for any actor.
The first or Jupiter finger is the father finger and just as we read the mother on the third or Apollo finger so Jupiter tells us here of a difficult early life with his father, his lifelong battle with excessive alco- hol consumption, his emotional and violent outbursts, his risk taking, his inability to remem- ber his wallet, keys, etc are all part of what is now recog- nized as PTSD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Alas the strict father and the cruelty of the nuns scarred him for life.
The Psychologist Hans Eysenck said that early life insta- bility or cruelty will give a very damaged later personal- ity structure, and Peter O Toole battled with his demons all his life. He suffered for his craft. The world lost a great actor on the day of St. John of the cross December 14, 2013, the day of Peter O Tolle’s death.
The numbers to Peters name are 75259 and 626635. These two names both add to 28 which reduce to a 10 =1 the balance shown when first names match the last name gives what is called a seesaw effect, and the later life will balance out the first. It is often seen with bisexuals, or those who are mid-way between male and female, and ironically the tarot card depicted at his death is the number 14 which warns of Temperance, which means all things in balance and moderation. Peter O Toole never did anything in moderation in his life, where ever you are Peter raise a glass for us.
