1 FEB – 27 APR Roman Empire: Power & People Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery


160 pieces from the British Museum make their way east to Norwich Castle to explore the story of one of the most powerful empires the world has ever seen. One of only six venues to host the largest ever UK exhibition of Roman artefacts on loan from the British Museum, the Castle plays host to the remnants of some of the greatest stories ever told.

You’ll be clicking your fingers, holding your sides with laughter, and watching in wonder at the Teatre Royal with the wide range of thrilling shows this month. Tere will be laughs aplenty as Barry Humphries’ Farewell Tour brings the curtain down on Dame Edna Everage on February 4-8 and comedy duo Punt & Dennis take their slick satirical stand-up to the stage on February 9. Te toe-tapping swing of Rat Pack Live on February 2 is the first musical act, with Classic Rock arriving on February 10 to showcase their renditions of some of rock’s greatest albums. Tribute act ‘Rumours of Fleetwood Mac’ complete the set on February 24. Fans of great visual spectacles will be treated on February 13-15 to Cirque Berserk, the touring circus troupe whose show features the terrifying Motorcycle Globe of Death and World Record holding strongman Hercules. Following that, it’s a double bill of dance, with the mesmeric Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberia performing three classics of the genre between February 17-19, and Richard Alston Dance Company returning on February 20-21 to pay homage to Mozart, as well as Benjamin Britten in his centenary year.
